Amy MacMahon is currently running in the Queensland election for South Brisbane against Liberal’s Jackie Tradd. The election will be taking place on October 31st, 2020.

MacMahon recently just finished her PhD in regards of climate change adaption in Bangladesh. As of right now, she works as carer and community engagement agent in East Brisbane.

She believes that the Greens will bring much more benefits to the population than the other parties in the race. She mentions on her website that she wants to bring essential services such as hospitals back in public hands. Together with the Greens, she wants to facilitate life of thousands of Queenslander with creating jobs, giving away free meals to children and much.

Her race against Tradd is tight, but she has more chances of winning according to Green Left. We will see what will happen at the end of the week!
