For the first time ever, a member of the Ecological Party of Uganda has been elected to public office. Ecological Party candidate Niwagaba Godfrey has emerged victorious in the race for Guild President for the Uganda Management Institute. Until now, the Uganda Management Institute, which is the leading government institution for public service officers, has always been a preserve of the ruling party or other opposition parties in Parliament.
