The European Green Party’s Communication Network (EGP Comms Network Meeting) held its annual meeting in Brussels. This year’s theme was “From Inspiration to Action.” The Bulgarian Green Party was represented by Stefan Radev, member of the Executive Board.

The event began in the European Parliament, with greetings from Bas Eickhout, Simon McKeighney and Alison Abrahams, and continued with a series of panels, workshops and discussions dedicated to contemporary communication challenges.

Among the highlights were the extremely interesting lectures by Arun Chowdhury (the first official White House videographer under Obama) on communication in the era of the rise of the far right and by Clare O’Donoghue Velikich on how the Greens can “win social networks without advertising”.

On October 3, the panel “From Elections to Pride: Shaping the Hungarian Online Political Landscape” took place, during which ideas for engaging videos were discussed, and a parallel workshop “The City of the Youth” was held, dedicated to the connection between the Greens and the new generations.

The day ended with a panel on working with artificial intelligence, where communication teams from different countries showed real examples of using AI in analyzing attitudes, creating visual content and adapting messages according to the audience.

Conversations with Vula Tsetsi and topics for future actions

Within the framework of the meeting, Stefan Radev also held a conversation with Vula Tsetsi, Co-Chair of the European Green Party, during which the following topics were discussed:

– the possibility of a resolution on the rule of law during the upcoming annual congress of the EPP member parties in Lisbon in December 2025;

– holding the next edition of the Black Sea Conference (under the so-called European Mechanism for Supporting the Implementation of the Common Agenda for the Black Sea), to be organized by the Bulgarian Green Party with the support of the EPP and MEPs; – preparing a meeting with Thomas Weitz on the issue of North Macedonia’s progress within the framework of the Lisbon Congress.
