In a press statement, the Indian Green Party (iGP) condemned the Israeli military attack on Gaza and the denial of food, water, electricity and communications to the 2.3 million captive Palestinian civilians.
The party calls on all governments around the world to join peace forces in condemning Israel’s inhumane attack and killing of several thousand Palestinians, more than half of whom are women and children.
The Indian Green Party also condemns the actions of Hamas on October 7 and the hostage taking, but at the same time recognizes that this conflict did not begin on October 7 of this year, but in May 1948 with the Nakba and the creation of the Palestinian Refugee Problem and Israeli colonization and occupation. The subsequent actions of the apartheid state of Israel have been likened to genocide by many experts and human rights organizations, amounting to serious war crimes and collective punishment, which cannot never be justified.
We call on governments and human rights organizations to take urgent action to work towards an immediate ceasefire, unconditional humanitarian aid and negotiations to enable Palestinians to enjoy their rights. freedom, their self-determination and their security for the future.
The Indian Green Party believes that peace can never be achieved through violence and injustice.
