With Donald Trump now back in the White House, Green Party leader Jill Stein has taken to social media to sharply criticize his administration’s early actions—particularly in foreign policy, militarism, and corporate influence. In a series of recent posts, Stein has expressed alarm over Trump’s reported plans for Gaza, continued U.S. arms sales, and the lack of meaningful political opposition in Washington.

Stein on Trump’s Gaza Plan: “Ethnic Cleansing”

One of Stein’s most forceful statements was in response to Trump’s reported proposal to take over the Gaza Strip, forcibly relocate Palestinians, and turn the region into a business-friendly zone, described as a “Riviera of the Middle East.”

“Donald Trump proposes to take over the Gaza Strip, build a ‘Riviera of the Middle East,’ forcibly relocate Palestinians. Won’t rule out sending U.S. troops.” — Jill Stein on X

Stein condemned this as an act of ethnic cleansing, warning that such policies set a dangerous precedent for U.S. involvement in the region. She also pointed out that the current humanitarian crisis in Gaza did not begin with Trump, but rather stems from long-standing U.S. policies that have supported military aggression and occupation.

U.S. Arms Sales: Business as Usual Under Trump

Stein also criticized the latest $7 billion U.S. arms deal with Israel, which she argues is part of a continuous pattern of prioritizing military aid over diplomacy.

“Trump’s $7 billion arms sale began as Biden’s $7 billion arms sale in Jan. They are one and the same. Both parties serve the same war machine. Don’t let the shock & awe in DC distract from the key issue: We need a political alternative to serve working people.” — Jill Stein on X

Her remarks suggest that U.S. foreign policy remains unchanged regardless of who is in power, as military aid continues despite widespread concerns over human rights violations. Stein argues that these sales fuel further conflict, while benefiting defense contractors at the expense of global stability.

Call for a Real Opposition Movement

Beyond foreign policy, Stein is also questioning whether there is any meaningful political opposition to Trump’s administration. Referencing a statement from Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who acknowledged that Republicans control the government, she asked:

“Why we need a real opposition party.” — Jill Stein on X

Stein appears to be warning that the Democratic Party is failing to provide a strong counterweight to Trump’s policies. Instead, she argues that a true opposition movement is needed—one that challenges corporate power, militarism, and the erosion of civil liberties.

Public Reaction and Signs of Discontent

Stein also pointed to recent polling data, showing that Americans have mixed reactions to Trump’s policies:

47% of respondents oppose Trump’s Gaza takeover plan, while 13% support it.

66% believe Trump’s efforts to lower prices are inadequate.

52% oppose his plan for large-scale deportation centers, while 48% support them.

In response to these figures, Stein issued a stark warning:

“Rebellion is coming.” — Jill Stein on X

This suggests that she believes public frustration is growing, and that Americans may soon demand significant changes in leadership and policy.

As Trump’s administration moves forward, Stein’s watchdog role will likely continue—focusing on militarism, economic policies, and civil rights in the months to come.
