The state parliament approved two motions from Green MPs Madeleine Rohrer, Zeno Oberkofler and Brigitte Foppa.
“We are very happy that the importance of these two topics has been recognized and that both citizens are involved in the planning process of the Meran Mobility Center and that the management institution is strengthened. The Meran Mobility Center is an important step for modern mobility throughout the Burggrafenamt. This project will shape the development and face of an entire neighborhood,” explains Madeleine Rohrer, first signatory of this application.
She calls on the state government to organize an information day to present the mobility center master plan before detailed planning and to gather feedback from all interested parties.
The aim is to ensure greater participation and inclusion of citizens in the planning process of the flagship mobility project in Merano and the Burggrafenamt.
Guardianship is fundamental to providing assistance and protection to people who can no longer fend for themselves. In order to improve the effectiveness of this instrument, measures are planned to ensure appropriate training and constant support for administrators.
“In our proposal we propose to strengthen the role of guardians through several measures: multidisciplinary and specific training of social and health professionals, establishment of consultative groups, introduction of a maximum limit of people supervised for each guardian, introduction of “a code of ethics as well as the examination of the extension of guarantees for administrators registered in the state register to also include family members”, explains the first signatory Zeno Oberkofler, summarizing the points more important.
“The Greens’ amendment concerning the extension of guarantees for associations which assume the role of administrator has already been approved in the legislative committee. This is now another important step,” concludes Oberkofler happily.
The adoption of these measures will help to strengthen guardianship as a whole and ensure better protection and support for vulnerable people throughout the country.
