The Greens are to see positivity for the upcoming elections in 2021. In a recent poll, it was shown that the Greens are ahead of the Liberal-Dem. The Westminster poll shows below the opinions of the Britains. Jarvis mentions how the results would be the best one for the Greens if it were to be the same during the real elections.

Sian Berry Statement to Bright Green

Sian Berry, Co-leader of the Green Party of England and Wales mentions how the people are ready for changes. She told Bright Green:

“Greens are going up in the polls because people are looking for a fresh start and are ready to choose something better. We’re the only party calling for structural change in this era of crisis, and the alarm bells are ringing louder than ever, from Covid-19 to the climate emergency.

This strong polling comes a few months ahead of a huge slate of elections for us, and these numbers suggest that we could have another record breaking year of putting Greens into power. We are ready, and millions of people up and down the country are ready for change too”.

Jarvis predicts that the Greens will be gaining much more seats in the upcoming elections, local and mayoral. Jarvis mentions to Morning Star that it [2020] could see the Green Party taking control of — or becoming part of a ruling coalition — in a handful of councils throughout England.

He says that the successes of the Green Party will not change the country overnight; however, it will open doors to political that will help uk by shifting the balance of powers in English politics. Jarvis predicts that Green members are to be more present in the politics and bringing new ideas on the table. “It could see the Green Party taking control of — or becoming part of a ruling coalition ,” says Jarvis to Morning Star.

Due to recent events, the 2020 local and mayoral elections were postponed to 2021. Sian Berry is running for Mayor of London. The results will be in by the end of May 2021. Along with this, results will be announced throughout the year due to many elections at different levels happening.
