The board of the Democratic Union “For Lithuania” (a member party of the European Green Party) has officially confirmed Aurelija Kuezada as the new leader of its central administration. Her nomination was put forward to the board by the party’s chairman and Member of the European Parliament, Virginijus Sinkevičius.
The newly appointed administrative chief plans to focus heavily on reinforcing the party’s organizational framework, building tighter cooperation between the central office and regional branches, and preparing for the critical upcoming municipal elections.
Strengthening Regional Anachronisms and Visibility
“I am grateful for the trust placed in me and fully understand the deep responsibility of this role,”Kuezada stated upon her appointment. “One of my key goals is to enhance our joint work with regional chapters, especially as municipal elections approach. We must build our administrative capacity to ensure our party remains one of the most productive political forces representing the real interests of the people, while continuously growing our potential to be seen and heard across all of Lithuania.”
Party chair Virginijus Sinkevičius echoed these priorities, emphasizing that a professionally managed administration and a strong regional network are essential conditions for meeting future political challenges and maintaining a continuous, meaningful connection with citizens nationwide.
A High-Level Managerial Background
To drive these operational improvements, Kuezada brings extensive experience in leadership, organizational management, asset management, and business development across both the public and private sectors.
Throughout her professional career, she has led companies and organizations, served on corporate boards, and worked within municipal and state institutions on international projects. A significant portion of her career includes specialized work in the aviation sector, alongside long-term project collaborations with the World Bank.
The party’s central administration oversees day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth organizational performance and streamlining coordination between national structures and local chapters. As Head of Administration, Kuezada will report directly to the party chairman and the executive board.
