A woman from Lyon (Rhône) was sentenced on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, to eight months in prison and had two months of a suspended sentence revoked for harassing Marine Tondelier, reports La Voix du Nord. She claimed to be in a relationship with the national secretary of the Green Party.

She called her 503 times and sent her 377 videos over six months. She even sent her “I love you” messages. She also sexually assaulted her during the Green Party’s summer conference by rubbing against her thigh, according to witnesses. Marine Tondelier filed a complaint in Hénin-Beaumont (Pas-de-Calais) on September 7, 2025.

She denies almost everything

While the woman in her thirties admitted to contacting the regional council member for Hauts-de-France repeatedly, she insisted that it was not harassment and that she did not have romantic feelings for her. She denied the sexual assault. But according to the lawyer for the politician, the woman “invented a love story, even considering assisted reproductive technology (ART).”

The defendant, who was already convicted in 2024 for harassing another woman, will be subject to five years of judicial supervision, with two years in prison as a penalty for non-compliance. She was ordered to undergo treatment. She is prohibited from contacting Marine Tondelier and from entering the Hauts-de-France region. Her name will be added to the sex offender registry.
