Green Party Taiwan was set up on 25 January 1996. While the party is sympathetic to Taiwan’s nationalism and holds a range of centre-left positions with the Pan-Green Alliance, the party focuses on campaigning mostly on social and environmental issues.
Ching is co-chairing with Liu Ching-Hsien. As of December 25, 2018, Ching is also County Councillor of District 8 of Hsinchu. She is also affiliated with Tree Party. She also obtained her masters in Music at Tunghai University.
