Marine Tondelier is amends. In a long message on X, the National Secretary of Environmentalists presents “apologies” this Friday, May 2, after her remarks made the day before concerning the socialist deputy Jérôme Guedj, taken to task alongside other elected officials and activists of the Socialist Party (PS) in the Parisian demonstration of May 1.
“Yes, the socialists have their place in the demonstrations,” writes Marine Tondelier. “Jérôme Guedj as all the socialists and demonstrators, must be able to (demonstrate) in serenity,” said the Greens’ owner, explaining that he tried to call the latter.
“Imprecision”
“As for whether there is an extreme left anti-Semitism, the answer is yes. As in the whole of society. I have already had the opportunity to express myself several times on the subject, and maintain that it must be fought everywhere and all the time,” she adds.
Socialist activists, including deputy Jérôme Guedj already invective on Sunday during another rally, were insulted, and for some attacked, during the Parisian demonstration of the 1st-May.
Marine Tondelier spoke Thursday evening on RTL after this incident. The radio asked him if we “can speak of extreme left anti -Semitism”, in reference to the taking to the part of Jérôme Guedj, who is of Jewish confession.
“I’m not going to answer this question,” said Marine Tondelier at first. Then, while granting her “support” to the socialist deputy, she seemed to question her behavior, specifying during her development: “I also see how Jérôme Guedj meets, comes with twenty journalists.”

“I was surprised by the way in which the question was asked yesterday, making a link between two events on which I did not have all the information, having manifested myself in Dunkirk,” she explains this Friday, thus concluding her tweet:
“I apologize to all those that the imprecision of my response was able to hit,” she adds.
“Terrible”
On Thursday evening, Jérôme Guedj returned to the BFMTV Mircro on the interview with Marine Tondelier. “I am a little ashamed for Marine that she is not able to answer this question” on anti-Semitism, he deplored, speaking of a “moral fault.
Like him, several socialists – who all oppose the first secretary Olivier Faure, himself supported by Marine Tondelier, before the Congress of the PS – denounced the exit of the national secretary of environmentalists.
“Dear Marine Tondelier, if I understand your reasoning Jérôme Guedj” sought it well ‘, “denounced the boss of PS Senators Patrick Kanner. Before his colleague at the Luxembourg Palace, Rachid Temal, added:
“Terrible. Ice chilling. The question is: how did a part of the left come there, to this ideological and moral sinking?”
