According to the local branch of the Green Party in Germany, this is a mix of experienced and new members who should bring different perspectives to local politics.

“Schermbeck needs new momentum: for green spaces, sustainable mobility, the protection and expansion of unpaved areas, and genuine climate protection,” says Nicole Stenkamp, spokesperson for the local association and candidate for Altschermbeck-Dorf (electoral district 10). “Our team brings the necessary diversity and good ideas.”

In the north, Ralf Gelzeleuchter is running in district 11 (Siegelhof/Kettelerstraße). He wants to advocate for fair management of municipal finances. Stefan Steinkühler (constituency 12, Heisterkamp) and Kristin Rittmann (constituency 13, Besten) are also running in the Gahlen elections. According to the local association, both parties want to focus on external infrastructure, such as cycle paths and farm roads.

“From Weselerwald to Gahlen, we advocate for a policy that listens, takes responsibility, and shapes Schermbeck with new ideas for the future,” adds Holger Schoel, spokesperson for the local association and candidate for the town center (constituency 5).
