Before the start of the conference called “Belgrade Strategic Dialogue and Partnership of Serbia, Israel and the USA”, Green Left Front MPs said that it is not moral for Serbia to be an accomplice of a country that violates human rights, and the killing of civilians already has the hallmarks of genocide.
“Since November 2023, between 57 and 64 thousand Palestinians have been killed. Over 80 percent of homes have been destroyed, there is no water, and the population is being systematically starved. At today’s meeting in the Serbian Parliament, the organizers will discuss strategic partnership. We say that good diplomatic relations are one thing, and partnership with a country accused of genocide is another,” said MP Robert Kozma.

He assessed that the partnership between the two regimes is based on a common crime, because the regime of Aleksandar Vučić sends weapons, and the regime of Benjamin Netanyahu retaliates with software that the government uses to illegally wiretap citizens.
The MPs recalled that Serbia is a signatory to international conventions that oblige it not to export weapons to countries that commit war crimes.
MP Rastislav Dinić stated that 14,000 children were killed in Gaza during the year, and that the President of Serbia explains the export of weapons only as a way to make money regardless of the consequences.
A conference organized by the US-Serbian Friendship Congress on the strategic partnership of Serbia, the USA and Israel begins in the parliament today, which will be attended by the ministers of foreign affairs and European integration as well as the Speaker of the Parliament.
