“Today is a historic day for Mexico. We are proud to support the country’s first female president, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo,” said Jesús Sesma Suárez, leader of the Green Party in Mexico City, as he led the environmental contingent through the streets of the capital toward the main square where President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo delivered her first state of the nation address.
Accompanied by supporters and activists, Sesma Suárez highlighted the party’s commitment to the transformation project represented by President Claudia Sheinbaum and celebrated her first year in office, which he considered a step forward for social and environmental justice.
All the secretaries of the local PVEM Executive Committee, the territorial coordinators, representatives of the Green Party’s caucus in the Mexico City Congress, as well as councilors from the various mayoralties participated in the mobilization. The march was a demonstration of unity and support for the federal government, framed by an atmosphere of enthusiasm and civic engagement.

Sesma Suárez emphasized that Claudia Sheinbaum’s first year in office has marked a path of stability, results, and close work with the people of Mexico. “We not only support the president as a party, but we also recognize that her leadership is a historic benchmark for Mexican women and for new generations. She has demonstrated that with vision and determination, great changes can be achieved for the benefit of all,” he stated.
Environmentalist leader Sesma Suárez emphasized that with this event, the Green Ecologist Party of Mexico in Mexico City reaffirms its role as a staunch ally in this new phase of the country. The Green Family will continue working for a greener, fairer capital with opportunities for all, always supporting the transformation led by Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo,” he concluded.
