The working team of the Green Party of Venezuela held its first expanded meeting as part of the process of ratifying the candidacy of President Nicolás Maduro Moros. At the environmental group’s founding congress last October, delegates unanimously approved support for the victory of the leader of the Bolivarian revolution in the presidential elections scheduled for July 28, 2024. Venezuelans will have to elect a new president for a term of six years.
The representatives of the Green Party, during their meeting, designed a work and deployment agenda for the coming months. This activity took place in the April 13 Hall of the 4F Mountain Barracks located in the January 23 Parish of Caracas, where the green leaders also paid a vibrant tribute to Commander Hugo Chavez, supreme leader of the Bolivarian Revolution.
“As part of the 1st Expanded Meeting of the National Working Group, we ratify our support for the candidacy of Nicolas Maduro, in the elections of July 28, 2024, after a process of municipal and regional meetings of our political organization which reaffirmed the decision adopted during our founding Congress”, declared Heryck Rangel, national coordinator of the said organization.
In this sense, he explained that the Green Party of Venezuela will carry out a deployment to serve certain priority municipalities in the national territory, called Harvest Plan 2024.
“This plan attracts the attention of the municipalities, the national work team, in collaboration with the regional work teams, will carry out this deployment to carry the message of the Green Party of Venezuela and guarantee the victory of our candidate”
Rangel explained that this Expanded Meeting will bring together all the Regional Liaisons of the Party and Green Youth, and will take place in the city of Caracas.
